Great news came from Germany. Darkos, the father of our B puppies, became the German and VDH Champion! But it is not the only success of this fantastic dog. Last weekend he passed the VPG 3 with a great result: 95-94-97. Huge congratulations!

On the 21st of November our Dream partecipated in her second dog show, this time the international show of Genova, with a very nice V1, CAC and r.CACIB. Also Darkos, who came to visit us, took part in the show obtaining V1, CAC, r.CACIB. Congratulations!

Dream took part of the National Dog show in Savona and at her first experience she achieved a fantastic V1, CAC and BOB!

This time we met at the beautiful lake of Osiglia and we enjoyed to look at Brezza, Brinkley and Bloom at their first experience with the water.

We organised another meeting of the B puppies at our place, this time with a dog trainer with whom we discussed the behavior and education of the puppies. Thanks to the owners of Brezza, Bloom and Brinkley for their partecipation and naturally a great thanks to Silvia for all the advice and thoughts!

One week ago Brezza and Bloom left and on Saturday the other two, Byron and Brinkley, left us too. Three puppies live very very close to us and so I hope to see them often. Good luck to all four and a lot of patience to their new owners! :-)

The puppies have made huge progresses these days! When the weather is good they are all day outside and enjoy to play. They run around and play all the time. They still drink a lot of milk from their mum, but they also started to taste some other food. We already had a lot of visits to our puppies, but the most important one was the visit of their father Darkos, his owners Sonja and Thomas, and their second hovawart Bali.
Thank you Sonja and Thomas for these lovely 3 days, thank you for all the great advice that you gave me and for all the hovawart talks. It was great!

By an accident Amalka pressed one of the males with her leg last night and we lost him. Words cannot explain how it feels to see a healthy and strong puppy dying...

I present you our B litter: ALL BLOND!


The puppies are all very vital and always at the milk bar! Amalka has a lot of milk and it is a real pleasure to see how well she takes care of her puppies. She is a great mum!

Dream had her hips X-rayed and they are perfect! Now we only have to expect the official result.

3 very important dog shows this weekend: European Dog Show Dortmund, National Dortmund and Jubileum Club Show of the Swiss Hovawart Club with 300 hovawarts partecipating!

Darkos, the father of our B litter, achieved two CAC in Dortmund and so he misses only 1 to become the German Champion. Congratulations!

The brightest star of this weekend is Brilliant Vegas, the sister of our Dream, who achieved what seems impossible! She went to all the 3 shows and she easily won 3 times! She became the Europe's Junior Winner 2010, she got a CAC at the National Show of Dortmund and the last day the best: On the Swiss Club Show she won the Best Junior and later on also the BEST OF BREED! And all this at the age of only 16 months and in the competition of 300 hovawarts partecipating! Huge congratulations to the breeder and owner Anna!!

I am very pleased to announce that Amalka is pregnant! We expect the puppies from Amalka and Darkos vom Kahltal more or less on the 17th of May!

We spent 3 very pleasant days with Darkos and his lovely owners and now we only have to wait to see whether the meeting of Amalka and Darkos was successful. If so, the puppies should come to the world around the 17th of May and if we are lucky, they will be of all 3 colours.

Amalka is finally in heat, so we are getting ready for a trip to Germany!

It is a great and beautiful dog, from healthy bloodlines that are interesting for the work but also for the exterior. This does not mean anything in many cases, but for Darkos his results talk: at the age of only 28 months he passed the german ZTP together with "Körung", which clearly shows his brilliant character and work predispositions. He showed up only in a couple of shows but he always arrived among the first ones and he even achieved the titel "Landesjugendsieger". I am sure that he will multiply his successes in the future. Now we can only hope that Amalka will like him and after 5 years of break we will finally welcome another litter in to the world.

Our reserve dog is Beringo v. Alten Schulweg.

Congratulations to the sister of our Dream, Vegas, who showed up in the junior class in Poland only 3 times, but all the times won the first place and the title Best Junior. With this last victory she became the Polish Junior Champion! Congratulations!

Amalka went to another special show organised by the italian hovawart club and gained another marvellous judgment and 2nd excellent in the open class. Amalka has always obtained "excellent" in the open class, 13 times ranking among the 3 best females, she obtained 7 times 1st excellent, but to close the Italian beauty championship we still miss a little bit of luck: the last needed CAC. For now we get a little break though, because the first litter of Amalka is planned for this spring. More information soon.
